Sugarloaf Mountain Hike
LIGHT's next group event is a hike at Sugarloaf Mountain.
When: Sunday, November 2nd right after church (sometime between 11:30 and noon). We plan to return around 4:30pm
Bring your family, your friends, and a bag lunch to eat at the church before we head off.

Uploading pictures!
I've gone ahead and created a Flickr account for LIGHT.
There are a couple ways I would recommend to upload pictures to Flickr. The first is to visit www.flickr.com and log in to the LIGHT photo album. The login information is:
email: cpclight@ymail.com
password: chapelgate
The other way to upload pictures, which is a little easier, is to attach the pictures to an email addressed to: done87design@photos.flickr.com
As soon as you send the email, the pictures will automatically be uploaded to our photo album.
I've gone ahead and (without permission, heh heh heh) uploaded a picture of our very own Bruce and Janet Adams, for your viewing pleasure and for testing purposes :)

What is the LIGHT blog? More than anything, this blog will be a way for you to stay informed of upcoming events hosted by the LIGHT community.
We also see this as a supplementary facet of the LIGHT class. Our leaders/teachers have the ability to post new posts, and if you have a Google or Blogspot account, you can log in and post comments on posts. This will be a fun way to share comments about each week's Sunday morning group meeting. Keep your eyes peeled for follow-up tidbits from our teachers each week.
Another thing you can do is upload pictures that you've taken during group events. As soon as I can figure out a simple way to do this, I will post instructions!

NCR Trail Bike Ride
LIGHT's first group event was held on October 4th, 2008. Nineteen of us got out our bikes and rode (at various paces!) nearly 22 miles from Ashland to White Hall on the NCR Trail, stopping on the way back at Monkton for food and fellowship. Plenty of pictures were taken of this beautiful time together enjoying God's creation.
